Dan Mullen talked with the media Monday to discuss the upcoming game against the University of Kentucky (5-1, 2-1 SEC). He was complimentary of the Wildcats’ success this year, saying they are easily a top 25 team.

“It will be a great challenge for us. They have a lot of talent. On the field, Mark [Stoops] does a good job of having them believe they can win football games. They do a good job mixing it up, run and pass,” Mullen said.

Mullen also previewed the UK defense. Mullen said the defense is very physical, and can attack MSU offense from many different directions. Also, the Wildcat defense can seamlessly switch fronts, making them dangerous against a very young MSU offensive line.

Offensive lineman Michael Story is expected to be available for Saturday’s game; however, Cory Thomas and Malik Dear remain inactive due to injuries.

Dan Mullen expressed his wishes to have a full Davis Wade Stadium to give the Bulldogs the extra motivation and home field advantage against the talented Wildcat team.
