Editor in Chief: Mia Rodriguez

Mia is a senior from Milton, Florida, majoring in English with a minor in Spanish.

She joined The Reflector in the hopes to both improve her writing and serve as a voice of the students.

When she has some time to kill, she enjoys petting animals of all species and taking impromptu road trips to places she has never been.

Her favorite song is “Big River” by Johnny Cash.




Managing Editor: Ella Schalski


Ella is a senior from Meridian, Mississippi, majoring in English and German with a minor in linguistics.

She joined The Reflector to further hone her writing and editing skills.

When she has free time, Ella enjoys reading as many books as humanly possible and watching every single episode of Law and Order: SVU.

Her favorite song is "Your Body Is a Wonderland" by John Mayer




News Editor: Hannah Blankenship


Hannah Blankenship is a sophomore from Huntsville, AL, studying journalism and Spanish.

She joined the Reflector in the pursuit of becoming a real-life Rory Gilmore (although ideally with a better love life).

Outside of the office, Hannah enjoys reading, hanging out with friends and playing sports.

Her favorite song is "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles.




Life Editor: Mary Madeline LaMastus 

Mary Mad is a senior psychology major from Cleveland, Mississippi, home of the fighting okra.

She has an obsession with everything word-related, which is why she loves working at The Reflector.

You can find her at just about any art show, coffee shop, open-mic night or community event, which explains why life and entertainment is her forte.

Her theme song is “Digressions” by Lizzy LeBleu.





Opinion Editor: Dylan Bufkin


Dylan Bufkin is a junior from Mount Juliet, Tennessee majoring in English with a minor in history.

He joined The Reflector his freshman year to vent his political opinions and become involved on campus.

Dylan loves to write poetry and short stories, as well as read them, and could spend all day talking about medieval literature.

His favorite song is "She's Leaving Home" by The Beatles.



Sports Editor: Hunter Cloud


Hunter Cloud is a junior journalism major from Springdale, Arkansas.

He joined The Reflector as a result of loving sports and sports journalism.

When not working in the office, he enjoys fishing and playing golf.

His favorite songs are "Cajun Baby" by Hank Williams Jr. and "Calling Baton Rouge" by Garth Brooks.




Graphics Editor: Rosalind Hutton


Rosalind Hutton is a Senior from Tchula, Mississippi and is majoring in art with a concentration in graphic design.

She joined The Reflector during her sophomore year, shortly after falling in love with the caricatures and fun style exhibited in the paper.

In her very fleeting moments of free time, she enjoys being outside and soaking up as much sun as possible.

Her favorite song is “To Be With You” by Mr. Big. 


Online Editor: Brandon Grisham

Brandon Grisham is a junior majoring in business information systems. 

He joined The Reflector because he enjoys writing and some guy on the drill field gave him a business card.

His job is to run this website, the social media accounts and make sure everyone without a paper remains informed.

When not in the office, he edits his personal website, plays piano and works on his first novel.

His favorite songs are "Ain't Nobody" by Chaka Khan and "Vienna" by Billy Joel.

Mary Georgia is a sophomore, finance major and religion minor based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

She strives to show the beauty in God's creation through her photographs.

She started taking pictures in 2014 and specializes in sports, wildlife, landscape and culture.

She joined The Reflector so she can gain more experience.

Outside of the office she loves to go whitewater rafting, kayaking, play soccer and travel.

Her favorite song is "Bad Moon Rising" by Creedence Clearwater Revival.



Advertising Sales: Devin Byrd

Devin is a senior from Long Beach, Mississippi studying chemical engineering.

She joined the Reflector to build her diverse skills in marketing and advertising to add some variability to her skill set.

When she is not at work, she loves playing with her cat, Vincenzo, hanging with friends and messing with all things beauty related.

One of her most played tunes is "Beast of Burden" by The Rolling Stones.




Circulation Manager : Sierra Pruitt

Sierra Pruitt is from Florence, AL, double majoring in marketing and management with a minor in business administration.

At one point, her sister was circulation manager, so she knew a lot about the position before becoming involved.

She carries around cat treats in her car for instances when she sees the campus cats during deliveries and loves early morning encounters with campus critters.

Outside of work, she is a regular college student who enjoys binge watching Netflix, reading and hanging out with friends.

Her favorite song is "Still of the Night" by Whitesnake.



Advisor : Josh Foreman

Josh Foreman was the editor-in-chief of the Reflector from 2004 to 2005.

He spent several years living and teaching abroad after graduating from Mississippi State in 2005.

He holds an MFA in Writing from the University of New Hampshire, and has written three books of narrative history with Ryan Starrett.
