A lot of us have fallen prey to the 'Left' 'Right' 'Left' 'Right .... March. It's either 'Left' or 'Right'. It must be 'Liberal' or 'Conservative'. The meaning assigned and manipulated by the wordsmithing, verbal calisthenics and created imagery suitable at the time to the politicians and big businesses. The American people are served an unending barrage of such messages.
Misguided Forces with soiled judgments do not want us to think in terms of freedom, what it is to be human, ethics and moral imperatives. When Roosevelt he was near death he made efforts to convey his inner conviction. Health Care is a Human Right. I agree with him. This is neither 'Right' issue nor a 'Left' issue. Neither the Liberals nor the Conservatives can claim ownership, nor can they reject it. This is an inalianable human right and as such a duty of the elected to uphold. If America stands for human rights, it behooves us to recognize it here with our brethren first to have credibility around the world. The 'Public' is us the American people. 'Public Option' is our right. 'Public', American People are asking for fairness in business. The moral dimensions to 'Healthcare Business' demand such option. I believe misguided and short sighted forces are fiercely trying to deny the 'American Public' an option. If these un-American forces are successful in defeating the Public Healthcare Option, I am afraid we will leave the country in economic ruin for our children. Further, our children may face the prospect of corporate fascism in America. I urge all to recognize the moral imperative and the magnitude of the challenge and respond forcefully as their conscience dictates. Every day over 1000 Americans die – because they do not have the money to pay the insurance companies. The uninsured. (This fact is verifiable.) The Insurance companies and the Senators who are speaking from the insurance companies' pockets to block the right of the American people's right to health care -- Are they not the "DEATH PANELS" that exist right now in America? These are the senators who were elected to serve the people. If these Senators contemplate their hands every night before bedtime they might see the blood of over 1000 of their brethren who would have passed away in silence that day. |
