The cross country team will be in Maryville, Tenn., this weekend participating in the 2008 NCAA South Region Championships. The men finished sixth and the women ninth in this past weekend's SEC Championships, which were held in Starkville. The Bulldogs hoped to finish within the top half of their conference and are hoping for similar, if not better, results in this weekend's tournament. (0) comments
Cold weather aids hunters

As the weather cools, the action should heat up for youth hunters and archery hunters this weekend. The low temperatures for this weekend should dip down to around freezing for a large portion of the state. As most Mississippi hunters know, the temperature in this great state plays a major role in deer activity. Some monster bucks have already fallen to some lucky hunters this season, but I expect many more will be harvested in the upcoming weeks. (0) comments
