Campus police, officials getting ready for Thursday's 'white out' events

Plans are under way as Mississippi State University celebrates the first NCAA Division I SEC game of the season Thursday night against Louisiana State University. ESPN will be televising the game and also broadcasting from the Junction on Wednesday. Hoax occurs two weeks after real on-campus rape

An 18-year-old MSU student has been arrested and charged with a misdemeanor after falsely reporting that she was raped on campus early Friday morning. Freshman elementary education major Anna Elizabeth Owens of Holly Springs affirmed to campus police late Friday afternoon that the incident never happened. (0) comments
Parking issues come with new semester
Overflow of students makes campus parking hard to come by

With the largest number of incoming students in the history of the university, parking at MSU has become a more serious campus issue. Director of parking services Mike Harris said students are not aware of all the parking lots available to them. "Students that park in the commuter east zone not only can park on Hardy Road, but can park also in the lots beside Eckies Pond," he said. (2) comments
Shuttle system makes alterations
Expenses cause MSU shuttle system to reduce stops, buses

In an effort to cope with the rising cost of maintaining the shuttle system without transferring expenses to students, MSU officials have redesigned the campus shuttle routes to include fewer stops, fewer buses and a new central hub.
