The Mississippi State Bulldogs overcame a 6-1 deficit going into the eighth inning to notch a 7-6 win over Samford University on Wednesday night. The Dawgs scored two runs in the eighth inning and a four-run ninth inning as freshman Conner Powers, who had a three-RBI performance, batted in the game-winning run. (0) comments

The Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs (18-14) fought valiantly but fell short to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (22-8) 53-56 Thursday night in Bowling Green, KY. Despite scoring the first points of the contest, the Hilltoppers jumped on the Lady Bulldogs early with blitz of scoring and lockdown defense, holding the Lady Bulldogs without a field goal for over six minutes.
