To whom it may concern,
My name is Matt Dispenza and I am a student here at MSU studying sports communication. I would like to express my deep sincere thanks to the executive council for allowing the MSU to have a Disc Golf course. I have been an avid player of the sport since 1995 when my step-father introduced me to the sport. I actually have a 9-hole course set up on my property back in Vicksburg, MS. I truly believe that Disc Golf will succeed here at MSU and would love to see more students get involved with the sport. Spectators are consistently amazed by the distance people can throw a simple object as a frisbee. The game has thrived on individual performances and the passing on of the love for competition. Since beginning in the 1970's thousands of courses have been added throughout the world. Additionally as I have mentioned, you can even do like myself and literally have a course in your own backyard. If anyone would like more information on the course of mine in Vicksburg they can e-mail me at mpd21@msstate.edu! Thank you and I hope to play very soon here at the university and possibly on a collegiate level if so given the opportunity. Happy Holidays!
