The Republican bias in this article is staggering.

Let's start off with the headline "GOP sweeps state elections" and then "Attorney General Jim Hood only elected Democrat." First of all, you present a direct contradiction there. A sweep means you win them all. Not all but one, but ALL of them. ESPN certainly would never start an article with "St. Louis Cardinals sweep 2006 World Series" and then "Tigers only win Game 2."

Second of all, in the article itself you don't even mention Jim Hood. You go race by race and point out how all of the Republicans won their statewide races but then for the single Democratic victory you don't even mention it!

The current balance of the state senate is 27 Republicans and 25 Democrats. But thanks to these elections, the Democrats will now hold a 28-24 advantage. That's right..despite all of the statewide disaster for the Democrats, they still TOOK BACK THE STATE SENATE. That's worthy of mention in any objective article about Tuesday's elections, but no, you just had to make the Democrats look as hapless as you could.

Now, I freely admit that we got destroyed Tuesday and have to make some changes to avoid this again. The facts speak for themselves...they show exactly what you want them to show - Republican dominance. There is absolutely no need to gloss over the small bright spot for the Democrats.

In the future, can we just present the facts and leave out the bias?

I doubt those involved with this story were trying to make Democrats look bad, but you're pretty much right on every other point.
