Music abounds for Homecoming weekend at MSU

Looking for that night of fun this Homecoming weekend? Try the concert of three of the hottest country music acts in the nation.

Music Makers Productions will bring Tim McGraw, BlackHawk and 4 Runner to Mississippi State University’s Humphrey Coliseum this Friday at 7:30 p.m.

McGraw recently took home the honors of Top New Male Vocalist and Album of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards, and his current single, “I Like It, I Love It,” spent several weeks atop the Billboard Country Charts.

The Start, La., native also earned Country Music Television’s nod as its Male Video Artist of the Year for 1994.

BlackHawk, a new trio which stormed onto the music scene with four Top 10 singles and a No. 1 hit, continues reaching new heights on its second album with a mix of traditional country harmonies and hard driving country rock.

4 Runner, who gained national attention with its recent single “Cain’s Blood,” will also perform.

All floor seats are sold out, but $19 tickets are still available for the stands. Tickets are available at the Colvard Student Union on campus; On-Cue, bebop and Crossroads in Starkville; Album Alley in Tupelo and Music Emporium in Meridian.
